To finish off a great season of “The Ultimate Fighter” Court McGee wins in the finale defeating Kris McCray with a submission using a rear naked choke in round 2. McGee is a feel good story of a man who 5 years ago battled heroin and cocaine addiction which nearly took his life. A little more than 5 years ago McGee overdosed on drugs and was clinically “dead” but was revived by EMT’s. McGee finally went into a long term rehab facility, got clean, and changed his life forever.

Not only is McGee’s story an awesome “comeback story but even more so because both TUF finalist actually lost fights in the house this season. Due to injuries they got another chance to compete, won semi-final matches and went on to compete tonight at the Palms for the 6 figure UFC contract and a place in history. McGee’s opponent tonight Kris McCray is a nice well rounded fighter and we fully expect to see him competing in the UFC soon.

Other TUF 11 Finale Results

Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine – There was a couple other good match-ups tonight, including a fight featuring Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine – Hamill took the fight to Jardine and ended up getting a 3 round decision and made a bloody mess of Jardine’s face. At one point it looked like a cut on Jardine’s right eye may stop the fight. We have to wonder what is next for Jardine, as he has lost 4 fights in a row and just has not looked great. Although he is always in wars, he must find a way to start winning matches and quit being a stepping stone for up and coming fighters.

Rich Attonito vs. Jamie Yager – This fight was hyped a lot due to Yager being the “hated guy” in the TUF house this season. He showed a ton of skills and promise in his prelim fights, and he talked a lot of smack to fighters on both teams. He has an impressive knockout which made him the early favorite to win. But during a tough fight he quit “on the stool” and would not come out for round 3 which took a lot of his credibility. Rich Attonito was another early favorite to win the show, and he also never had a loss in the house, but after an impressive win he found otu he broke his hand and couldn’t fight anymore. So tonight he got his chance to shine against a well rounded fighter. He ended up stopping Yager after he got his back and threw bombs until the referee stepped in and saved Yager from further damage.

There looked to be some great premil matches that were nto telavised, not sure why but I bet they were better than some of these matches. Here is a complete list of results:
